So? Do YOU feel like smiling?
A few people in my family are well known for having some of these loud wonderful super contagious laughs. My grandfather had this big round belly and would hold it as he laughed until he was out of breath and no sounds could come out of his mouth, he would lean back and close his eyes and be completely immersed in laughter. My mother however was all about the smiles. She was a serious professional ‘smiler’. I still hear people talking about her and mentioning how she had the biggest smile out of anyone they knew. It’s ironic considering that my mom had a serious and very painful chronic illness from the early age of 11. She was an absolute example for me in being someone who always found a reason to smile and be positive.
Are you ready? It’s picture time!… and yes, baby pictures do come with the package.
This was my mother, professional smile agent…
Here I am laughing hysterically simply because of the noise newspaper made when you scrunched it up (it didn’t take much arm twisting to get us laughing at the Sujo house).
Fast forward a few years..Here I am making snow angels, and smiling as wide as I could. I’m a little embarrassed to say that this photo wasn’t taken so long ago. My hubby provides tummy ache laughs daily, so he was probably saying something funny (or making fun of me!).
We can’t leave our dog Nala out of the smile fest. This was taken at the beginning of last Spring, she was smelling the breeze.
When we talk about veganism, animal rights, activism and the problems we’re facing in the world today, topics we usually cover in this blog, we read and listen to some very difficult things. Some might get us teary eyed (or bawling in my case), some will no doubt make us very angry. This is why today I’m announcing something special many of you have been waiting for. I’m so happy to take you to our very anticipated ‘I Feel Like Smiling’ page which is finally up and running! It will be an ever changing page that will make us laugh, smile, remember the good times, and celebrate the two reasons why I created it in the first place. What are they? You’ll just have to go inside and see… This is our new section of the website called ‘I feel like smiling’. Please visit, share our site if you can and leave me some comments if you feel like it!

The amazing top photo of children smiling was taken in China by Kevinschoenmakers. Isn’t it amazing?
