Today it’s not apple pie but a mixed berry vegan cheesecake that is cooling as I sit down to write this little note to our readers. I know I said this in our Happy Holidays post and I keep saying it again and again, but your company from all corners of the world makes writing for this blog one of my favorite things. I’ve loved this past year together and I will be here continuing the hard work to help you on this journey, hopefully for many years to come. You make every photo I take, every material I research and every tough film I see completely worth it. And for every single effort so many of you are making to live a more compassionate and kind life towards our fellow creatures I am so grateful and proud! Whether it be one meal, two meals, a monthly trial, all the way, or on the way there, you are amazing.
Today I simply want to send a little wish your way.
On Christmas Day, my hubby and I went to the movies as we usually do. We went to the premier of “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”, one of the most special films I have seen this year. It’s a movie about second chances and even more so about the unexpected adventures that can come your way when your heart is open and willing. I have had the most adventurous and special year and it had little to do with skydiving or travelling the world. My wish to you, is that this new year gives you the greatest of adventures, may that be a hot air balloon ride, a trip around the world, having some beautiful babies, having some beautiful grand babies, adopting a beautiful furry companion (or two), getting a job that makes you giggle with excitement, simple time at home with the people you love, a heart opening wide, the forming of new friendships, beautiful radiant health, new projects that make you smile, time on your own or time with family, finding your sidekick in life, or finding yourself and what’s important to you, even if it goes against the current. Whatever your dream adventure may be, as simple or exotic as it may be, I send you all the best wishes for the coming year! I leave you with a very special quote from this beautiful film…
“To see the world,
things dangerous to come to,
to see behind walls,
to draw closer,
to find each other and to feel…
That is the purpose of life.”
See you next year!!
